University of Alaska Masters and PhD Nutrition Programs

The UAA Dietetic Internship is a full-time, 40 hours per week program starting in the fall semester with graduation at the end of the spring semester.The student will complete a total of 15 graduates in time credits by attending a weekly seminar (second5 hours) at UAA and completion of their supervision experience.Upon successful completion of all parts of dietary internship, including all learning experiences and satisfactory evaluations from teachers and the UAA Dietetic Internship Director, is a student Verification Statement showing completion of the internship will be given. With the confirmation instructions, graduates can apply to the RD drop test.When successfully passing the examination, RD, the graduate is entitled to license in the state where they apply as a registered dietitian working.

Admission Requirements:

1) Baccalaureate degree in nutrition (minimum) from a regionally accredited school.

2) Didactic Program in Dietetics Verification Statement within the past five years. Fulfill remedial education requirements if no course work or work experiences in dietetics in five years prior to program admission. Please see the "Recency of Education Policy" link at the bottom of this page.

Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts in UAA

The employees of Applied Science degree requires last two years.This program offers a culinary education center with a focus on the development of food preparation, baking skills, cost control, operations and management.Food service workers who want to brush up their skills and knowledge can, in courses for which they enroll qualified. Since 2006, there is a transfer agreement for culinary majors to study abroad have been in Italy for a semester at Apicius, The Culinary Institute of Florence. Students are able to apply credits in Florence in the direction of their UAA Culinary Arts degree acquired.
